Like most churches, we offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our church family and our community. Fort Washington is a bit different from many churches because of the rich diversity of our church family. You see, we come from just about every corner of the world. We speak many different languages and you could almost paint a rainbow with the colors we represent. Some of us grew up in homes where God was the Father, while some of us never knew God or a father. Some of us are married with children, others are in committed relationships and others live alone. Our customs, ages, financial situations and our lifestyles vary tremendously. It is through this diversity, though, that we begin to see how each of us is an important part of a larger family. And how, in each other, we can find the hope that sometimes can seem so elusive. United In Hope It is this glimmer of hope that we find in one another that helps us to put things back into proper perspective. Working together, we learn that God's love for each of us is very real and that we all have a place in our church family. Something For Everyone? Is it possible that this little church has something for everyone? Absolutely. It might be found in a multi-cultural Bible study or in a youth basketball program. Maybe it's in a Senior Adult mid-day fellowship or in a children's choir. Or it may not be in any of the many programs available at Fort Washington. Instead, you may find what you're looking for in the very people who make up this church.
